Requirements

Candidates must have experience developing and maintaining enterprise-grade tools, platforms, or applications, and working with full-stack network automation architectures including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, orchestration and automation frameworks, network source-of-truth applications, configuration management, and telemetry/observability stacks. Proficiency in Python and/or Golang in a production environment, experience with Git in a collaborative environment, strong hands-on knowledge of NX-OS, IOS-XE, Arista EOS, and experience managing production workloads in AWS, GCP, and/or Azure are required. Foundational knowledge of network/security best-practices and design patterns is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Principal Network Engineer will develop well-written technical and architectural designs, build and support network automation platforms that provide services to the global network, and work with fellow network engineers and SREs to solve complex network challenges through software-based solutions. Responsibilities include delivering complex network automation architectures, helping maintain switches, routers, and network access equipment, deploying and maintaining software-defined cloud networking primarily in GCP and AWS, participating in network operations and systems on-call rotation, and performing peer-reviews and providing guidance based on software best practices.
