Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
5 Years of Relevant experience
Proven experience supporting global applications with a desire for simplification and standardization, detailed process analysis and design, system architecture, technology standard adoption, and computer system validation (CSV)/computer software assurance (CSA) in a GxP environment
Experience with Agile, DevOps and Waterfall methodologies, including use of collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc
Experience with Service NOW for application change control and incident management
Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team player
Basic project management skills, including scheduling meetings, capturing meeting notes and status updates, managing project timelines and financials

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between the business/end users and IT systems development teams for business needs requiring IT based solutions
Work closely with Regulatory Affairs business stakeholders, internal and external IT service providers, and governance teams to ensure global platforms are aligned with business needs, delivered within agreed timelines, compliant with Alcon’s policies and standards
Contribute to creating business value, finding opportunities for value extraction from global platforms, and implement methods to measure & analyze the value generated
Identify and analyze business needs, conduct requirements gathering, define scope and objectives
Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
Research business requirements and document relationships between application system components (end users, business processes, data, applications, devices)
Translate business requirements into application requirements
Liaise with key stakeholders (Business Technology Partner IT Leadership and Teams, Global Application Business Owners, Global Business Process Owners, IT Infrastructure and Support Teams, External Application Vendors) to ensure clear communications and effective, compliant solutions
Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to drive partnership model and global application governance
Foster business-oriented and digital-ready culture, mindsets, and practices
Build strong understanding of business knowledge and customer experience
Conceptualize and articulate solutions within existing functionality framework and improve/innovate where necessary to support future business needs
Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex application requirements and data into actionable business insights
