Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred
  • HVAC License, Electrical Journeyman license, Boiler operator license preferred
  • Knowledge of production machines and equipment and the mechanical ability needed to complete repairs
  • Knowledge and ability to perform electrical, plumbing, and other facility repairs
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of HVAC Systems
  • Ability to operate a forklift truck
  • Ability to diagnose problems, find solutions, and implement measures to prevent reoccurrence
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye, ear, and foot protection
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, maintain, and repair all production equipment and machinery, forklifts, power tools, and other Sonaca North America equipment
  • Perform building and facility maintenance, repairs, and improvements, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on facilities and equipment
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation
  • Operate forklift trucks as needed
