Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with a CPA or similar designation. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in family office, business management, or financial services is required, including over 5 years of tax preparation and review experience. Proficiency in QuickBooks, CCH, and other accounting systems is essential, as are strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Practice Manager will oversee accounting and business operations for family office clients, ensuring accurate financial reports and forecasts. Responsibilities include maintaining accounting systems, internal controls, and budgetary oversight, as well as leading financial management activities such as cash flow oversight, tax coordination, and planning. The role involves reviewing client agreements, assessing financial risk, assisting with long-term financial planning, and reviewing financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Driving system and process improvements, acting as a hands-on leader in client service, supporting business integration, and building, mentoring, and evaluating a high-performing team are also key duties. The Practice Manager will serve as a strategic partner to leadership and client executives.
