Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification, along with a minimum of four years of experience as a full stack developer or a similar role, and at least one year of experience specifically focused on platform engineering solutions. They must have experience with Cloud Services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud, and familiarity with Version Control Systems like GitHub, GitLab, or BitBucket. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate expertise in Containerization technologies including Docker and Podman, and extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and ArgoCD. Experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sumo Logic, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) is also required, alongside experience in designing client-side and server-side architecture and proficiency in multiple front-end and back-end languages and JavaScript frameworks.
As a Platform Engineer, the individual will work on existing systems to improve the efficiency and reliability of feature delivery, create internal tools to support workflows, enforce security policies, and maintain regulatory compliance. They will build, maintain, and document custom APIs, CLIs, and web UIs to expose the platform’s functionality, ensure the performance and quality of internal toolchains by identifying and resolving bugs, and collaborate with software developers, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders on cross-functional teams. The role also involves working in a fast-paced environment to enhance internal apps and processes, planning and executing engineering goals, and applying industry best practices to improve the performance and maintainability of applications.
