Requirements
- Must successfully pass the POSS/MASS pre-employment test
- 2-4 years of power generation or related experience
- 2-4 years of electrical and/or I/C experience preferred
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications applicable to listed skills
- Satisfactory completion of Tier 1 job performance measures (basic Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument and Controls)
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Demonstrate standard computer-based skills
- Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Acquire basic operational knowledge of all plant systems and operate equipment within specification and environmental regulations under direction of skilled Plant Technicians
- Learn proper function and perform maintenance of equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet
- Promote safe, effective, and reliable operation
- Assist/perform troubleshooting of plant equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance, daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair/replacement, and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures
- Provide skills for maintaining equipment at the plant
- Perform clearances in LOTOV under direction of a senior operator or supervisor
- Utilize/operate various types of hand, power, precision or machine tools to support safe and productive work environments
- Maintain working knowledge of all electronic control systems and computers
- Understand and follow current safety and environmental regulations for all phases of work
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures (e.g., Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, PPE)
