Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or country equivalent). CPA and MBA preferred
  • Typically 9 or more years of experience with emphasis on cost and budgeting
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience with emphasis on cost and budgeting
  • Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control
  • Deep knowledge in MS Office applications and ERP systems (SAP FI/CO, MM, PP, SAP Analysis for Office)
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing change
  • Has effectively communicated at all levels of the organization in both formal and informal environments
  • Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization
  • Capable of executing a business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices
  • Maintains a strong presence, with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships
  • Experience working with Lean concepts and tools is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation of annual plant budgets, and periodic feedback on present performance to budget and adjustment measures
  • Coordinate the annual plant standard cost recalculation and variation reporting, including the preparation of recommendations for action
  • Provide plant and divisions with accurate and timely financial data (e.g. Margin analysis, Margin improvement projects, inventory management and spend controls)
  • Evaluate and assess capital spending, CPA/CPJ justifications
  • Partner with plant functions to analyze and support investments and new business initiatives
  • Provides oversight of all plant related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirements
  • Planning, preparing and supervising projects
