Candidates should possess a strong interest in economics, finance, narrative storytelling, audio production, news, and fact-checking, and a familiarity with economic and business blogs. A regular listener of Planet Money and The Indicator podcasts is preferred.
The intern will assist in episode audio production, write copy for npr.org and social channels, regularly assist in crafting social media posts, fact-check episodes, book guests, pitch great stories, provide feedback during edits, monitor team inboxes and social media accounts for listener feedback, and perform research into ideas and the team’s projects under close supervision of the host teams.
