Requirements

The ideal candidate is a native Telugu speaker fluent in both spoken and written Telugu, with a strong understanding of science concepts up to the class XII level. Experience managing a team of 5-6 people is required. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in Telugu medium schools, online teaching, video creation or localization, proficiency with Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools and video editing software, and the ability to understand English to recreate videos.

Responsibilities

The Telugu Localization Expert will manage a team of 5-6 localization specialists responsible for translating and localizing Khan Academy's science content from English to Telugu. This includes reviewing and editing existing Telugu content, creating new localized content such as videos and text, and ensuring quality through contextualization, cohesion, rigor, and clarity. The role also involves collecting feedback from state teachers to improve content and highlighting modifications needed in Telugu science textbooks before localization.
