Requirements

  • Complete a rigorous company training program
  • Satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
  • Complete additional licensure and training requirements for immunizations, where permissible and in compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to support pharmacists in managing and improving patient health
  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (e.g., production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating personalized moments at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; offer immunizations and services at the register and over the phone; solve or escalate patient problems
  • Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership, such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories
  • Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset, being receptive to feedback, and seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntarily traveling to stores in the market; contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
  • Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, CVS policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled substance compliance, and patient privacy/security
  • Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, staffing offsite clinics) where allowable by law and supported by training/certification
  • Where permissible, support immunizations by completing required licensure and training
