Requirements

Complete a rigorous company training program
Satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
Complete additional licensure and training requirements for immunizations, where permissible and in compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations

Responsibilities

Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to support pharmacists in managing and improving patient health
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (e.g., production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, creating personalized moments at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; offer immunizations and services at the register and over the phone; solve or escalate patient problems
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership, such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories
Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset, being receptive to feedback, and seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntarily traveling to stores in the market; contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, CVS policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled substance compliance, and patient privacy/security
Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, staffing offsite clinics) where allowable by law and supported by training/certification
Where permissible, support immunizations by completing required licensure and training
