Requirements

Recent pharmacy school graduate (within 120 days of graduation)
Didactic learning from pharmacy school applied to real-world practice
Ability to complete a comprehensive training roadmap under direction of preceptor and District Leader
Knowledge of patient safety, error prevention, quality assurance, drug utilization review (DUR), pharmacy professional standards (corresponding responsibility, red flag detection)
Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication
Demonstration of empathy, genuine care, and contribution to a safe, inclusive culture
Readiness to take on increasing accountability for pharmacy management, oversight, and operations (as tenure increases)
Compliance with state regulations for tasks like taking telephonic prescriptions or calling prescribers

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service exceeding patient expectations
Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: create personalized moments at pick-up, drive-thru, phone; offer immunizations/services at register/phone; solve/escalate patient problems compassionately
Offer counseling, field medical questions, solicit medical history for optimal care (under direct supervision of licensed pharmacist)
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call to clarify or facilitate changes (where allowed by state regulation)
Provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to pharmacy team members; share best practices; maintain high self-awareness
Complete basic inventory activities (as permitted by law and directed): put away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories
Contribute to a high-performing team
