Requirements

Candidates must possess five or more years of direct experience with Banner® Student functionality at a college or university or as a Banner® consultant, demonstrating advanced user proficiency. Experience implementing Banner® Student at an institution and expertise in using it to improve and automate business processes within Registrar, Admissions, or Records offices are required. The role also demands the ability to troubleshoot technical and functional Banner® Student issues, exceptional oral and written communication skills, a proven customer service approach, and strong problem-solving expertise as a self-directed individual.

Responsibilities

The Banner® Student Consultant will collaborate with clients to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for Banner® Student. Responsibilities include configuring and implementing Banner® Student for various student lifecycle management functions, providing hands-on configuration, customization, and troubleshooting support. The consultant will develop and document best practices, assist with system testing and data migrations, deliver end-user training, and provide ongoing support and system maintenance. Additionally, they will stay current with Banner® Student updates, work with cross-functional teams on integrations, assist with report generation and analytics, and help institutions navigate data privacy and security standards.
