Requirements

Bachelors’ degree preferably in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance or Statistics
Previous experience in the Insurance sector/underwriting is a plus
Executive Presence; personal capabilities such as composure, credibility and clarity
Portfolio Management ability
Drive for Results
Advanced communication skills and proficient at building and maintaining strong relationships
Resilient and team player
Excellent command of the English language

Responsibilities

Assessing new business leads from Brokers and quoting the appropriate terms and conditions to ensure a good quality and profitable book of business
Assessing renewable accounts to ensure Company standards of underwriting are maintained, broker relationships are looked after and the appropriate loss ratios achieved, thus producing a profitable account; ensuring retention levels reach Company targets
Implementation of system enhancements and enrichment of underwriting processes and system embedded underwriting rules focusing on automated underwriting and producer self-servicing
The handling and servicing of major accounts and open policies ensuring proper response times and service levels
Participate in new projects, product development initiatives and implementation of strategies for the profitable growth of Consumer lines
Guidance/Training of the Policy servicing and Contact center teams, ensure knowledge transfer and clarity for Consumer lines strategies and objectives
Cooperating with sales relationship managers for the development of strong broker relationships which lead to an increased level of engagement
