Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll or timekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of timekeeping systems and payroll processes
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday Time Tracking and Payroll
  • FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 2–3 timekeeping staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and task delegation to ensure effective use of team resources
  • Oversee the end-to-end timekeeping process, including timecard approvals, corrections, and exception handling
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly production payrolls for multiple pay groups
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex timekeeping issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Payroll teams to ensure alignment on timekeeping policies and practices
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including overtime, meal/rest periods, and shift differentials
  • Lead or support system enhancements, testing, and implementation related to timekeeping systems (e.g., Kronos, Workday Time)
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for timekeeping adjustments and payroll processing
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Manage direct reports, including hiring, performance assessments, and terminations
  • Supervise staff to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Provide ongoing training and development to team members
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines
