Remote is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist Lead to join our Global Payroll Operations Team. What You Bring

  • In-house payroll management experience or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of payroll best practices.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as SAP, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
  • A productivity-driven approach, constantly seeking ways to improve and accelerate work.
  • Understanding of and ability to work largely asynchronously.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Experience working remotely is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Australian payroll.
  • Manage existing relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
  • Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, including statutory filing, exception handling, approvals, payments, and compliance.
  • Ensure full data integrity and quality.
  • Perform accounting and reconciliations.
  • Focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Implement and improve payroll processes.
  • Mentor and support other payroll specialists.
  • Provide backup support to regional managers during absences.

  • Team: Payroll Operations
  • Location: While applications are welcome globally, priority will be given to candidates from Australia to encourage team diversity.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $65,500 USD to $73,000 USD (base salary for this full-time position).
  • Compensation Philosophy: Remote is committed to fair, unbiased compensation and competitive benefits globally. We pay above in-location rates and do not engage in cheap-labor practices. Our salary bands are wide due to international operations and geo-based pay differentials to remain competitive globally.
  • Factors Influencing Pay: Actual base pay is determined by role, level, location, transferable skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. Salary ranges are subject to change.
  • Internal Mobility: Remote fosters internal mobility and employee growth, supported by a compensation philosophy that ensures pay equity. Compensation changes for internal moves are reviewed case-by-case by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team.
