Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution and have 4+ years of payroll and HR experience, specifically within China. A strong working knowledge of Chinese payroll and HR regulations and policies is essential, along with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines accurately, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills for explaining complex issues are also required.
The Payroll Expert will serve as a regional subject matter expert, owning end-to-end payroll execution for China, including evaluating and selecting payroll software and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role involves preparing and reconciling internal payroll reports, managing critical local payroll and HR processes, and assessing and improving rapid growth processes and procedures. The expert will stay informed of regulatory changes, communicate key updates, and provide expertise on local payroll and HR matters to employees and clients.
