A strong understanding of payment gateways, processors, and the transaction lifecycle is essential, along with familiarity with industry regulations such as PCI-DSS and NACHA.
The Payments Operations Lead will oversee daily operations for Payments Support, Credit, and Risk teams, acting as a primary escalation point for complex issues and ensuring prompt resolution of merchant inquiries. Responsibilities include monitoring queues, assisting with merchant interactions, tracking KPIs, investigating payment issues, reviewing payment arrangements, collaborating on fraud detection, and educating teams on compliance. The role also involves identifying process improvements, conducting quality assurance, coaching team members, leading training sessions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the merchant experience.
