Candidates should possess 2+ years of experience in accounting, payment processing, or SaaS, along with strong analytical skills and experience with financial reconciliation and client account management. Solid Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency is required, as well as excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and professional tone. High attention to detail and comfort with handling sensitive financial data are also necessary, alongside an operationally focused mindset and the ability to drive cross-functional execution.
Responsibilities
The Payment Operations Specialist will process and reconcile daily financial activity across multiple platforms, including ACH returns, chargebacks, refunds, and member payments. They will collaborate cross-functionally to resolve payment discrepancies, review and verify documentation for merchant account onboarding, support merchant account lifecycle changes, assist clients with payment- and merchant-related inquiries, monitor trends and identify opportunities for process improvement, maintain PCI compliance, and manage payment hardware needs. Additionally, they will document workflows, maintain internal systems, lead initiatives and projects, and potentially support occasional holiday and weekend on-call rotations and overtime.
