Requirements

  • Fluently speak Dutch & English (French is a bonus)
  • Mix of business development, key account management, category management, and buying expertise, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Ideally have a network of food manufacturing contacts
  • Comfortable with outreach, picking up the phone, establishing connections, and driving initial discovery questions
  • Ambitious, motivated, collaborative, with a desire to reduce food waste and love of food
  • Based in Amsterdam or Brussels, focusing on The Netherlands & Belgium

Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Build new connections and develop partnerships across all food categories and suppliers through outreach
  • Account Management: Drive existing partnerships forward, always with the mission and customer in mind
  • Portfolio management: Negotiate daily with suppliers to achieve the best prices and ranges, buying products that surprise and delight customers
  • Contribute to and ensure the rollout of segment strategy plans
  • Source new suppliers (manufacturers, brands & wholesalers)
  • Develop existing relationships
  • Continually review pricing and range to deliver both profit and customer experience
  • Balance (as per day in the life)
