Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years paralegal experience, either in a law firm or in a legal department of a large, multinational company.
  • Preferred: Paralegal certificate

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Managing and overseeing tax projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Project Planning: Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Identifying Dependencies: Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
  • Document Drafting & Review: Assisting in drafting, reviewing, checking, and organizing legal documents based off templates, such as corporate documents (board meetings, resolutions, etc.), contracts, and intercompany agreements.
  • Collaboration: Conducting initial reviews and red-lining legal documents in collaboration with tax and corporate teams as well as outside counsel.
  • Document Organization: Organizing and archiving documents related to completed and ongoing matters, including legal document database.
  • Corporate Chart Maintenance: Maintaining corporate organizational chart, including identification of entity functions.
  • Compliance Form Completion: Completing standard corporate and tax compliance forms and filings based off templates, including application for treaty benefits, entity classification forms, know your customer questionnaire, etc.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
