Candidates should possess mastery of Microsoft Office, including excellent proficiency with Outlook, strong Excel and Word skills, and the ability to generate presentation-quality documents in PowerPoint. They must demonstrate strong technical skills, a high aptitude for learning new software/systems, and proficiency in developing business/category knowledge, along with the capability to analyze data across multiple sources to answer business questions. Operational discipline, including the ability to consistently deliver granular, time-bound projects, is required, as is project management and the creation of enabling systems to deliver excellence. Strong personal leadership, problem-solving skills, accountability, and ownership of defined work processes and projects, along with the ability to work independently and deliver expected results, are also necessary.
The P&G Category Sales Specialist will build sales team capacity and effectiveness by owning key data work processes, including item set-up and maintenance, category event and promotion tracking, sales plan maintenance, and standard business reporting. They will enable stewardship via the fund management process, including invoice management, data administration within funds systems, and proof of alignment & performance record-keeping. The role involves communicating accurate/timely information and tracking/checking the accuracy and reasonableness of numbers, as well as providing broad support for complex systems, requiring operational discipline, accountability, and prioritization. Developing productive working relationships with internal and external contacts, explaining complex information pertinent to the area of responsibility, and turning insight into action are also key responsibilities, alongside assisting with sales promotions at the retailer with excellence.
