Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license (requires regular driving to visit client sites)
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
  • Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
  • High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
  • In accordance with state law, a background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to close deals within a fast sales cycle
  • Explaining the value proposition and demonstrating the Payments Platform
  • Upselling current clients on other Global Payments products and services
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Core Payments District Manager
  • Closing sales of business solutions with merchants throughout the area
  • Working closely with the local District Manager to set appointments with business owners in person via network and referral partnerships
  • Running scheduled appointments, uncovering needs, and presenting Global Payments solutions to close sales in small to mid-sized businesses
  • During the training period, participating in initial appointments accompanied by the District Manager to learn the short-cycle sales process using CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce for lead generation, sales presentations, on-the-spot client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing
  • Prospecting new clients
  • Maintaining existing/prospective client records in the CRM system (Atlas), including call notes, scheduled client interactions, contact information, and other relevant client information, in accordance with company policies
  • Achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments, to secure quota
  • Continuously building and developing knowledge of current product/service portfolio as well as changes and developments within the financial technology industry
  • Attending weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-one with leader
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
