Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical/electrical engineering is preferred
Previous Supervisory experience is required
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the predictive maintenance field in heavy industry is desired
Must have a strong mechanical and electrical background
Level I or II vibration analyst, certified by either the vibration institute or technical associates is also preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills are a must
Ability to work independently and in team is also essential
Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, Asylee/Refugee, or approved for export license)

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise Preventive Maintenance, Vehicle Garage, and Outside Maintenance technicians
Ensure complete and effective predictive, preventive, and vehicle maintenance services for the Materion Elmore facility
Independently perform all duties, including using complex diagnostic tools and equipment
Implement department programs, policies, and practices
Recommend enhancements to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and quality while reducing cost
Heavily involved with SAP, Ariba, and other purchasing transactions
Oversee and manage vibration analysis procedures for data collection and make recommendations for repairs
Independently collect and analyze oil analysis data and schedule oil changes
Frequently review the preventive maintenance module of the CMMS and make changes, deletions, and additions utilizing the preventive maintenance request process with Maintenance Planners
Monitor compliance with generated Preventive Maintenance Work Orders for the Elmore site
Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and continual improvement with the CMMS Plant Maintenance Module through SAP and Maintenance Planners
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of department personnel assigned to Preventive, Predictive, Vehicle Maintenance, and Outside Maintenance teams
Review manuals, Materion schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequencies of preventive maintenance schedules
Exercise sound diagnostic and analytical judgement in identifying, documenting, and reporting equipment malfunctions and planning corrective actions
Manage daily operations in Predictive Maintenance, Vehicle Garage, and Outside Maintenance teams
Responsible for overhead hoists, overhead doors, cranes, and lifting device operation
Act as liaison between contractors and Materion for any needed repairs/replacements
Create and monitor purchase orders and invoicing
Provide and maintain the compressed air supply for the Materion Elmore facility
Properly manage used oils, coolants, and lubricants in accordance with Materion Safe Practice Procedure
