Requirements
Candidates must possess at least 7 years of experience with Oracle technologies, including proven DBA experience, and an active Secret Clearance is required. Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, encompassing installation, configuration, and maintenance, is essential, along with experience with Oracle Exadata and familiarity with programming languages like Python for scripting support. Desired qualifications include Oracle Database Administration certification, RAC & Grid certification, or similar credentials.
Responsibilities
The Oracle DBA will administer and maintain Oracle database environments, including installation, configuration, and patch management; monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal throughput and responsiveness; implement and maintain database security measures, such as user access controls, data encryption, and auditing mechanisms; conduct database capacity planning and forecasting to accommodate future growth; develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies; collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database code; stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend their adoption; and create and maintain documentation related to database configurations and procedures.
