Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in data infrastructure or data engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of experience utilizing Python and SQL, and at least 4 years of experience with DBT and Snowflake. Furthermore, they should have at least 4 years of experience using Infrastructure as Code tools like CDK and Terraform, and demonstrate familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, RDS, EKS, DMS, EMR, and other big data platforms such as Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer, Data will design, implement, and maintain high-quality data infrastructure services, including Data Lake, Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, and data access layers, while also developing robust and efficient DBT models and jobs to support analytics reporting and machine learning modeling. They will collaborate closely with the Analytics team for data modeling, reporting, and data ingestion, create scalable real-time streaming and offline ETL pipelines, and design and manage a data warehouse providing secure access to large datasets. Additionally, the role involves continuously improving data operations through automation, optimization, and infrastructure redesign, as well as creating engineering documentation for design, runbooks, and best practices.
