We are seeking a Staff Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to lead the evolution of our database infrastructure. This role involves owning the reliability, scalability, and performance of the systems that power our B2B SaaS platform. You'll provide technical leadership to a global DBRE team, drive automation and best practices, and partner with engineering teams to move faster without compromising stability.

Requirements

  • Experience with database infrastructure management
  • Strong understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, BigQuery)
  • Experience with AWS RDS and DynamoDB
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Shell Script)
  • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Own our core database infrastructure.
  • Design, operate, and scale AWS RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), DynamoDB, and BigQuery.
  • Ensure performance, uptime, security, and cost-efficiency across environments.
  • Architect solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Build and maintain automation for provisioning, backups, failover, and schema changes.
  • Use Python, Shell script to automate database tasks.
  • Provide technical leadership to a global DBRE team.
  • Drive automation and best practices across the DBRE team.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve database performance and reliability.
