Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Technology program or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a plant operator
  • Experience in 24/7 plant or large-scale testing operations
  • Hands-on work experience
  • Organizational skills
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, overhead hoists)

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and installs process and auxiliary equipment into assigned facilities, utilizing heavy equipment
  • Commissions, operates, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Prepares, reviews, and executes system and component-level commissioning, operating, and maintenance procedures. Performs acceptance testing (hydrostatic, pneumatic, I/O checks, electrical calibrations)
  • Supports day-to-day operations, including startup, monitoring, and shutdown processes
  • Performs chemistry sampling and analysis using standardized analytical instruments and procedures
  • Monitors equipment performance, interprets process parameters, and takes corrective action. Performs minor preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Performs Lockout-Tagout of equipment and adheres to hazardous operations procedures
  • Assists engineering staff in executing the R&D test program
  • Performs other duties as assigned
