Requirements

Ability to perform electronic assembly functions, including assembling, welding, soldering, and x-raying medical devices using microscopes and tools
Ability to locate and correct problems through x-ray examination and visual inspection
Ability to repair and test units using computerized test equipment
Ability to perform casting/coating functions, including examining devices for defects like bubbles or excess epoxy, using tools to repair, and baking parts to cure epoxy
Ability to perform mechanical assembly functions, including kitting, assembling, bonding, coating, and processing devices using microscopes and tools
Ability to set up and utilize special test equipment
Ability to perform packaging functions, including kitting, assembling, and packaging devices and accessories, reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy
Ability to notify supervisor of supply needs or production difficulties
Ability to perform other related duties as directed or assigned

Responsibilities

Perform electronic assembly: assemble, weld, solder, and x-ray medical devices and parts using microscopes and tools; locate and correct problems via x-rays and visual inspection; repair and test units with computerized equipment
Perform casting/coating: examine devices post-molding for defects; use drills, reamers, taps, knives, syringes, and tools to repair bubbles, voids, or excess epoxy; bake parts to cure patches
Perform mechanical assembly: kit, assemble, bond, coat, and process devices and parts using microscopes and tools; locate and correct problems through visual inspection; repair devices using microscopes and tools
Set up and utilize special test equipment as needed
Perform packaging: kit, assemble, and package devices and accessories using tools; correct problems using microscope and tools; review device documentation for completeness and accuracy
Notify supervisor of needs to replenish supplies/materials and of production difficulties that cannot be readily corrected
Perform other related duties as directed or assigned
