Requirements

  • Senior level operations leadership experience in Inbound and Outbound Warehouse, Fleet Services, Facilities Management (building, grounds, power industrial equipment, sanitation, security), Transportation (routing, delivery, backhaul), and Operating Systems
  • Ability to achieve key performance metrics, manage expenses, execute strategic initiatives, ensure compliance with government regulations, and maintain safety and security
  • Experience building and developing operations management teams and fostering a culture of care, collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Deliver site-level execution of key corporate, market, and regional Operations initiatives
  • Deliver exceptional Customer Service through on-time delivery and post-ship service levels
  • Drive continuous improvement across all Operations departments by championing efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures
  • Create a culture of care and collaboration within the site and implement all aspects of Operations Connections
  • Adjust departments’ activities, policies, and practices to meet or exceed key performance metrics, customer service level goals, and on-time deliveries
  • Prepare and execute the AOP with direct input from the management team
  • Oversee operating budget management including labor, benefits, supplies, company assets, capital investments, depreciation, maintenance and repair, and third-party contracts
  • Evaluate fiscal metrics and adjust activities to meet or exceed performance expectations
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Perform management functions of staff selection, compensation, development, discipline, performance reviews, and/or terminations
  • Actively support other departments in the achievement of site and region goals
  • Drive collaborative effort with the Region Leadership team to build business cases for expansion, modernization, and facility reconfiguration
  • Drive a culture of compliance with internal/external policies and regulations, ensuring timely and accurate inspections and audits (e.g., food safety documentation, DOT records, EPSM, PSM)
  • Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Create a safety culture by reducing or eliminating operations-related injuries, accidents, damage/loss of product or equipment, and unnecessary costs through maintenance of equipment and facilities to safety, security, sanitation, and appearance standards
  • Assist Safety Director with training initiatives
  • Ensure contingency systems, practices, and protocols are in place to eliminate business disruption
  • Establish emergency response or crisis management plans and develop/maintain liaisons with local emergency management and other entities
