  • General ability to use Windows-based programs and retrieve/utilize reports related to job activities
  • Knowledge of company policies, safety regulations, and Federal statutes (e.g., DEA, OSHA) for warehouse operations

Responsibilities

  • Works with teammates to review bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders to plan work activities
  • Prepares truck driver's delivery schedule with Warehouse Manager and Lead Driver
  • Assigns teammates to specific duties, such as verifying/storing incoming merchandise and assembling customer orders
  • Establishes work schedules, ensures correct implementation, effective job assignment, and proper completion
  • Supervises Leads, warehouse teammates, and other supervisors to ensure timely and accurate warehouse functions
  • Screens and hires warehouse teammates; provides appropriate training on material handling equipment and warehouse machinery
  • Interprets company policies to teammates and enforces safety regulations
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Conducts performance reviews and recommends/initiated personnel actions (promotions, transfers, discharges, disciplinary actions)
  • Recommends measures to improve quality, changes in working conditions, and equipment use to increase efficiency
  • Ensures adherence to all Federal statutes regarding warehouse operations, including DEA and OSHA regulations
  • Coordinates with non-warehouse departments (Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service) for warehouse activities
