Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field, with an advanced degree being a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research or clinical trial operations is required, including at least 2 years specifically in proposal strategy, feasibility, or project management. Strong knowledge of the clinical trial lifecycle, operational planning, and proposal development is essential, as are excellent collaboration and communication skills for working in a matrixed environment. Detail-orientation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are crucial. Experience supporting RFPs, bid defenses, or business development activities, familiarity with multiple therapeutic areas and global clinical operations, and experience in CRO, biotech, or pharma settings are also highly valued.

Responsibilities

The Operations Strategy Lead will lead the operational strategy component for clinical trial proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and internal capabilities. This involves collaborating with Therapeutic Unit representatives, feasibility teams, clinical operations, and finance to develop competitive and feasible study delivery plans. The role includes participating in proposal kickoff meetings, translating commercial win strategies into operational approaches, managing timelines for operational proposal sections, and contributing to bid defense preparations. Additionally, the lead will mentor junior team members and capture lessons learned to improve operational strategy processes.
