Requirements

  • Proven experience in training and development, preferably in an operational environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with employees at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in using training software and tools
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Fluency in French and English (mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel regularly to stations in Quebec and occasionally to other Canadian provinces
  • Availability to lead training sessions for teams whose shifts may begin or end outside of normal working hours
  • Relevant certifications in training and development are a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions for employees, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge required for their roles
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees, helping them apply new skills and knowledge in their daily tasks
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through feedback and assessments, making necessary adjustments to improve training quality
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, room setup, and technology requirements
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs within the designated group of employees by working with department heads
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees
