Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree or equivalent certifications, and operating room experience is preferred along with knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and techniques. Applicants should have IAHCSMM CRCST certification within 6 months of start date and on time yearly renewal, and be able to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs of force to constantly move objects. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, along with near visual acuity (corrected), mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity.

Responsibilities

The OnSite Specialist will provide clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment, anticipating related device needs of the O.R. staff and surgeon during surgical procedures, and troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment and other related devices. They will work with surgeons, O.R. personnel, central processing, biomedical, and other related personnel, maintain knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education training programs, provide physicians and OR personnel with information on new and current products, accurately record and report data metrics, maintain up-to-date account information, accurately record and report all surgical procedure information, adhere to Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures, analyze and resolve product issues using independent judgment, and provide on-call services as required. They will also be responsible for maintaining professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude, adhering to HIPAA and related patient confidentiality policies, and explaining and generating detailed guidelines and procedures.
