Service Assurance Engineer

Candidates should possess an associate degree from a technical or undergraduate program in electronics, physics, engineering, computer science, or a similar field, or 1-3 years of relevant experience. Experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or Prober is a plus, but not required. Experience with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) is also a plus, but not required. Knowledge of operating O-scopes, digital voltmeters, and logical problem-solving skills are required.
The Field Service Engineer I will perform on-site installation of complex equipment, conduct scheduled planned maintenance visits, provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel, cultivate positive working relationships with customers and company personnel, travel to customer sites to resolve problems, provide training for customers and users, provide feedback to product quality teams, complete field service reports, and maintain Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4i Values. They will also align with application scientists to collaborate on solutions and provide input in writing updating system documentation.
