Requirements

Licensed and qualified Physician Assistant (PA) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) to practice in the state based on job assignment (Upon Hire)
Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration - US Department of Justice (state and federal based on state of practice, Upon Hire)
Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) (Upon Hire)
Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing with an active license in the state of practice (Upon Hire)
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Ability to work primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays (minimum 24 hours per week)

Responsibilities

Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice
Provides medical services and health education to patients and family members, contributing to health education of individuals and groups to increase motivation for self-care
Consults and collaborates with physicians when assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients
Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to written, approved protocols and appropriate licensing and administrative authorities
Interprets information from the diagnostic process and consults with physicians regarding abnormal findings to establish appropriate plans of care
Assures appropriate referrals are made for patients
Provides quality care, demonstrating appropriate health, safety, and aseptic practices; recognizes and reacts to environmental safety factors
Provides patient instruction related to environment of care and safety standards
Contributes to the development and attainment of physician practice goals
Practices according to written, approved protocols and appropriate licensing and administrative authorities; supports practice policies, procedures, goals, and standards
Maintains patient records and accurate information
