Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Systems Engineer. Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security principles is required, along with experience with virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms. Government experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Network Systems Engineer will perform requirements management and technical requirement analysis across various BrS service offerings, coordinating with architecture engineering, service operations, and service transition teams. They will serve as a Customer Support Engineer/Business Relationship Manager, assisting customers in defining their system requirements and reviewing submitted RITMs or RFCs. The role involves facilitating meetings, providing systems analysis, documenting requirements, and working with design, development, and testing teams to ensure systems comply with the enterprise technical architecture. Additionally, the engineer will identify and analyze technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and perform strategic systems planning while managing dependencies with other IT infrastructure components.
