AT&T has an opening for a Systems Engineer to support the BrS Contract. The Systems Engineer works directly for the contract Deputy Program Manager (PM) to provide sound engineering principles and disciplined System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) guidance to successfully implement enterprise technical architecture.
This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
Systems Engineer Duties
- Perform requirements management and technical requirement analysis across all BrS standard and non-standard service offerings.
- Support BrS requirements management teams while also coordinating with other BrS architecture engineering, service operations, and service transition teams.
- Coordinate with Government leadership and program managers/senior engineering technical advisors.
- Coordinate with other government/contractor customers across the enterprise.
- Serve as a Customer Support Engineer (CSE)/Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to BrS customers who submit HelpNow/ServiceNow standard or non-standard requested items (RITMs) or Requests For Change (RFC).
- Support and enable customers to clearly define their system/network/technical requirements prior to submitting RITMs or at the beginning of the submitted RITMs process and their requirements analysis, review, and validation.
- Serve as a back-up and alternate for BrS Technical Analysis Team (TAT) Lead and when required, for the BrS Requirements Manager or BrS Systems Engineering Manager.
- Host or facilitate BrS requirements management/TAT led meetings, boards, and technical exchange meetings with BrS architecture engineering, service operations, and service transition teams.
- Host or facilitate meetings with Government leadership and program managers/senior engineering technical advisors.
- Host or facilitate meetings with other government/contractor customers across the enterprise as required or when appropriate.
- Provides systems analysis.

- Works with design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle support teams responsible for hardware systems and applications.
- Develops end-to-end analysis for the enterprise.
- Documents processes and key artifacts.
- Ensures systems comply with the enterprise technical architecture.
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and coordinates cost estimation.
- Perform trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer needs into hardware and software requirements.
- Identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer and stakeholder needs and translate them into enterprise requirements.
- Identify and coordinate with customer, partner, and program stakeholders to communicate and resolve specific functional or technical problems immediately and as they are identified in validating technical requirements.
- Ensure that all the pieces of an engineering system work together to meet functional and technical requirements for operations to manage and maintain while simultaneously assessing business and management requirements.
- Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
