Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP is essential. Experience with network devices from major vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, and Aruba is necessary, along with expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points. Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, is crucial. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent certifications are preferred.
