Requirements

Candidates must have over 7 years of engineering experience, preferably in a production role, with expertise in virtualization administration, particularly OpenStack, VMWare, FreeBSD, and Storage Area Networks in a clustered environment. Expertise with OpenStack Nova, Juju, Charms, Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal and virtual machines is required, along with demonstrated leadership ability of technical employees and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to make good, timely decisions and demonstrate self-learning capabilities in a fast-paced environment is also essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer will support large-scale production deployments for on-prem virtualization infrastructure, lead support of complex technical systems architecture, and make recommendations for improvement. They will represent the team as a technical leader, provide direction for projects, and coordinate virtualization technical resources to drive projects to completion. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, developing solutions for complex business needs, holding project meetings, reporting project status to leadership, and writing scripts or programs for automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, PHP, JavaScript, or Go.
