Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expertise on products deployed within the customer's network
  • Hold network information gathering workshops with the customer to understand existing network design and technical requirements for new deployments
  • Understand the customer’s organizational structure, network implementation, and support procedures to drive highest level of network availability and sustainability
  • Carry out testing of new designs, features, and functionality in a laboratory environment and develop implementation plans for live production networks
  • Validate patches and fixes to operating software in pre-production test and live networks
  • Troubleshoot equipment and network problems, initiate and track TAC cases through to resolution for pre- and post-production issues
  • Track Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) through to problem resolution
  • Analyze network performance in terms of tickets, root causes, common causes, correlations, and trends
  • Manage network inventory and respective SW versions in terms of EoE (end of engineering)
  • Analyze technical bulletins and risks in the client’s installed base
  • Produce written summary reports of the status of design projects, equipment, and network problems on a regular basis
  • Hold technology workshops with the customer to discuss equipment and network problems, provide case status updates, reasons for problems, and workarounds/solutions
  • Assist the customer with the development and documentation of Network Operation Procedures
  • Support production environment products within the customer infrastructure
  • Peer with other employees in similar roles to share lessons learned and minimize risks for major network upgrades or changes
  • Develop secondary skills in other products in the product portfolio
