Responsibilities

Develop and maintain expertise on products deployed within the customer's network
Hold network information gathering workshops with the customer to understand existing network design and technical requirements for new deployments
Understand the customer’s organizational structure, network implementation, and support procedures to drive highest level of network availability and sustainability
Carry out testing of new designs, features, and functionality in a laboratory environment and develop implementation plans for live production networks
Validate patches and fixes to operating software in pre-production test and live networks
Troubleshoot equipment and network problems, initiate and track TAC cases through to resolution for pre- and post-production issues
Track Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) through to problem resolution
Analyze network performance in terms of tickets, root causes, common causes, correlations, and trends
Manage network inventory and respective SW versions in terms of EoE (end of engineering)
Analyze technical bulletins and risks in the client’s installed base
Produce written summary reports of the status of design projects, equipment, and network problems on a regular basis
Hold technology workshops with the customer to discuss equipment and network problems, provide case status updates, reasons for problems, and workarounds/solutions
Assist the customer with the development and documentation of Network Operation Procedures
Support production environment products within the customer infrastructure
Peer with other employees in similar roles to share lessons learned and minimize risks for major network upgrades or changes
Develop secondary skills in other products in the product portfolio
