  • Job Description: Dynamo is providing Maintenance Procedure Card (MPC) Development and Draftsman support to the U.S. Coast Guard. This role generally includes support for all Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E), and Electronics systems and equipment installed on all USCG LRE product line assets. These assets include: 282’ WMEC, 399’ WAGB, 418’ WMSL, 420’ WAGB, and 460’ PS cutters. The services provided will complete and support the continued development, updating, and revising of Maintenance Procedure Cards and Drawings for systems and equipment across all LRE assets.

Requirements

  • Technical Experience: Experience in the operation, repair, and support of HM&E equipment.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience in the use of Coast Guard Standard Workstation III.
  • Writing Skills: Good writing skills, with the ability to utilize applicable documentation resources effectively.
  • Preferred Software: Experience with Microsoft® Power Point©, Microsoft® Word©, Microsoft Paint®, Microsoft® Excel©, Microsoft® Project©, Microsoft® Office© 365 Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Skype.
  • Logistics Knowledge: Knowledge of the Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) supply support procedures.
  • RCM Certification: Must possess an active Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis Certification by the Coast Guard or NAVSEA, or be able to complete it within 6 months of hire.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • MPC Development: Develop and provide Organizational and Depot-level MPCs. These MPCs should be written at a comprehension level suitable for a recent graduate from a rated technical school (A-School).
  • MPC Standardization: Standardize equipment nomenclature using Cognos Platform Load List or Fleet Logistic System (FLS) Configuration data.
  • System Understanding: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ship’s systems to ensure correct system components are identified during MPC creation.
  • Technical Manuals: Understand and utilize CG technical and manufacturer’s manuals to develop detailed instructions for completing specific tasks (e.g., Main Diesel Engine Lube Oil Change).
  • MPC Validation: Complete validation of Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs) by releasing MPCs from Step 1-MPC Development within the Surface MPC Development Portal (SMDP). This includes:
    • Verifying that CG-22 recommendations were completed as requested.
    • Verifying that components are correctly listed.
    • Verifying that the number of components is correctly listed.
    • Verifying the personnel required for the task.
    • Verifying the locations of equipment (using FLS Configuration or LREPL support personnel).
    • Verifying source documentation.
    • Verifying references.
    • Verifying tools/test equipment.
    • Verifying expendables and consumables.
  • Step Verification: Verify the steps for completing tasks to ensure end-user comprehension.
