Requirements

5+ years of experience in writing technical documentation
Proficiency with Docs-as-Code tools and workflows
Strong skills in content planning, information architecture, writing, and editing
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality documentation on schedule
Experience leading content initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Experience writing documentation for SaaS, developer, and/or DevOps audiences
Experience working well remotely within globally distributed teams
Experience creating documentation in an Agile development environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to a technical audience
A good understanding of programming concepts, preferably with Go and/or Python
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
(Preferred) Experience contributing to or documenting open source software projects
(Preferred) Proficiency using the command-line Git
(Preferred) Experience working in start-up or fast-growth environments
(Preferred) Familiarity with one or more programming languages
(Preferred) Experience working in a start-up environment
(Preferred) Familiarity with developer-focused platforms and tools such as Terraform, AWS, Jenkins, Netlify, GitHub, MongoDB, Twilio, and Docker

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and designers to document new features and upcoming product releases
Write clear, accurate, well-structured, and consistent technical content from scratch
Use the product, test each procedure and workflow, become an expert user, and provide feedback to the product development teams
Participate actively in team meetings and advocate for user needs through documentation strategy, user feedback, and analytics
Align product documentation with broader customer enablement content by working closely with cross-functional stakeholders
Manage multiple projects across teams in a fast-paced, iterative environment
