Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Packaging Engineering
  • Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing sales experience to the consumer brand industry, ideally in rigid plastics or other packaging
  • Proven track record of achieving & exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to travel up to 50% - 75%
  • Prior experience using SAP is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new sales opportunities by identifying leads, investigating, analyzing, and planning to engage potential customers
  • Meet with the right points of contact and persevere to nurture business relationships
  • Quarterback the sales cycle, collaborating with internal partners in the design & development of packaging solutions
  • Take the lead on contract negotiations & securing the sale
  • Pick up a small book of business
  • Maintain partnerships with customers, assuring Plastipak continues to bring value (including inventory, accruals, rebates, negotiations, and amortization agreements)
  • Establish budgets and forecast the growth potential for your territory
  • Cultivate new customer accounts and expand existing relationships
  • Bring innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to customers
