Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a patient-centered approach, strong attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced remote environment are also necessary. Furthermore, candidates must possess a reliable internet connection, a headset, and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote work.

Responsibilities

The Medical Billing and Receptionist will be responsible for processing and submitting medical claims, emphasizing out-of-network billing, ensuring proper coding and compliance with insurance policies and billing standards, addressing and resolving billing inquiries and discrepancies efficiently, providing professional virtual front-desk support through phone calls, appointment scheduling, and message management, performing insurance verification and patient eligibility checks, coordinating benefits, updating and maintaining electronic patient records, monitoring accounts receivable, initiating follow-ups on unpaid claims and patient balances, assisting with patient intake processes and document management, and liaising with providers, payers, and patients to ensure a smooth operational flow.
