Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), and have at least five years of related experience. They should have experience working with HVAC and plumbing projects specifically for water and wastewater facilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
The Mechanical Professional Engineer will provide technical planning and design support on water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects, including combined sewer overflow facilities, pump stations, and wastewater treatment plants. Responsibilities also include preparing engineering calculations, technical memoranda, design reports, and construction plans, assisting with specifications and permit submittals, monitoring project budgets and progress, documenting design changes, conducting on-site inspections, preparing project status reports, assisting in proposal preparation, attending meetings, and maintaining client relations while ensuring a safe working environment.
