Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
5-10 years of experience, preferably at a consulting engineering firm
Ability to perform a broad range of mechanical engineering designs including HVAC systems, industrial systems (pumps, heat exchangers, piping, etc.), plumbing systems, and system controls
Successful track record of design, quality control and construction administration experience
Quick, flexible thinker and problem-solver who is accustomed to working in fluid teams on tight deadlines
PE License or ability to sit for PE Exam
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit a Plus
Experience with Trane Trace 700 and/or DOE 2 a plus
Experience working on federal contract projects a plus
Sustainable design experience a plus (also listed as energy audits and sustainable design)
Ability to obtain government clearances

Responsibilities

Research, plan and design a variety of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, system controls)
Prepare code compliant plans and coordinate drawings for a broad range of designs for projects that range in size from $50,000 to $100M in construction value for State, Federal, Industrial and Commercial clients
Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary design teams, primarily in-house but also with subconsultants
Collaborate with all disciplines to prepare presentations and produce documents from schematic design through [completion]
