Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 to 7 years of related experience, along with experience working with HVAC and plumbing projects specifically for water and wastewater facilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with others.
The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical planning and mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing) design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects, including combined sewer overflow facilities, pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, and water treatment plants. They will prepare engineering calculations, support analysis of alternatives, utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda, prepare design reports and construction plans, assist with specifications and permit submittals, monitor task budget and progress, document design changes and communications, conduct on-site inspections, prepare project status reports, assist in the preparation of proposals, attend client meetings, maintain excellent client relations, and maintain a safe working environment.
