Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Product or Material Planning using ERP-MRP systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks while under pressure
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills; written and oral
  • Ability to adapt and change on a moment's notice
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (aerospace or medical)
  • APIC, CPM, ISM or equivalent training certification
  • Experience with extremely low volume-highly customized manufacturing orders is a plus
  • Familiarity with IFS is a plus
  • Knowledge of an operations environment including product planning, production scheduling, program management, engineering, inventory, manufacturing, and procurement

Responsibilities

  • Initiating and maintaining material demand throughout the program life cycle
  • Analyzing and actioning demand to best ensure supply meets program requirements
  • Closely collaborating with program teams & buyers to identify needed materials and ensure deliveries meet program schedule
  • Communicating with key internal departments and fellow planners as needed for mutual program success
  • Generating shop orders and providing timely updates on material status to program teams and the master planner
  • Performing a defined set of reporting and standard planner work consistently and with a high degree of accuracy
