Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of warehouse/materials management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, and warehouse best practices
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making and performance improvement
  • Effective communicator and team builder
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and on a computer
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, or stooping
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and office equipment
  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
  • Ability to work in warehouse/manufacturing environment with exposure to forklifts, machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse team, including receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping, inventory control, and material movement
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, production planning, and manufacturing to align material availability with production schedules
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Develop and enforce warehouse processes that promote efficiency, cleanliness, and safety (5S/Lean)
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, receiving cycle time, and kitting readiness
  • Optimize layout and space utilization to improve material flow and minimize handling
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA)
  • Train, develop, and evaluate team members; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Participate in ERP/MRP system usage and enhancements related to warehouse functions
