We act as consultants for statistical/technical advice, input into client proposals, and support research teams in the design and execution of all client projects. Position Overview

Reporting to the Head of Brand & Media Marketing Science team, this role requires a strong background in statistics and complex analytics. You will be responsible for running analytic projects, with support and supervision from senior staff where needed. You will contribute to discussions with clients and researchers, recommending appropriate methodologies to design analytic/research programs that address client marketing/business problems.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver analytics projects to a high quality that meet internal stakeholders’ and clients’ requirements.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, both current and emerging.
  • Effectively manage your own workload and be responsible for managing projects.
  • Maintain a broad and deep understanding of quantitative research techniques to convincingly propose appropriate solutions to client problems.
  • Develop an understanding of the possibilities and limitations of techniques and software packages.
  • Ensure high quality of all finished documents.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field emphasizing modeling, statistical, or mathematical skills (PhD is a plus).
  • 3-5+ years of work experience.
  • Expert modeling skills and statistics knowledge (essential).
  • Expert statistical skills and knowledge of econometric techniques in:
    • Survey/polling statistics (sampling, non-response adjustments, Bayesian statistics).
    • Econometric modelling (program evaluation, forecasting, economic theory, panel data).
    • Observational causal inference (potential outcomes, structural equation models, instrumental variables).
  • Experience in and strong interest in: pricing research, brand management, digital behavioral analysis, segmentation, media effectiveness, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of analytics programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and respective tool ecosystems (e.g., R-Studio Server, Spyder, Jupyter, POSIT Workbench).
  • Solid experience visualizing and communicating results of data analyses, with the ability to think beyond the numbers while addressing real-world business problems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in open data sourcing (Google Trends, Social Mentions, etc.).
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic knowledge of Data Science such as Big Data Analytics (Machine Learning, Hadoop, Map Reduce, Hive, Spark, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing environments and tooling (AWS, Azure).
  • Basic SQL skills for working with relational databases.
  • Basic knowledge of programming in VBA.

  • Proven client-facing skills: translate and communicate complex findings effectively.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, creative, and eager to learn.
