Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline, and ideally hold a Master's or Ph.D. degree. Significant experience as a Data Scientist, particularly within the digital advertising domain, is required, along with a strong understanding of machine learning techniques and statistical modeling. Experience with large datasets and distributed computing environments is also beneficial.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and apply data science solutions to improve advertiser experience and Reddit’s ad platform performance, analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights, collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and build data science solutions, develop machine learning models and data science methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition, communicate findings to stakeholders, and stay current with advancements in machine learning and data science while mentoring junior team members.
